The Bonassar Research Group is a lab at Cornell that focuses on the regeneration of tissues damaged by osteoarthritis, including bone, cartilage, and meniscus. Areas of research include cartilage mechanics, bioprinting, and lubrication.Â
My specific role in the lab is being a research assistant to a Ph.D. candidate examining stem cell-induced mitochondrial transfer as a mechanism for revitalizing osteoarthritic cartilage. I have three semesters of experience, with two semesters of wet lab projects and one semester performing 3D image analysis with Python. You can read more about my projects following the links below:
